such a piece of garbage! Dont get this
I just downloaded app. Apart from giving me the model number of my router, the app offers me nothing else! No login, nothing to tell me what to do to fix problems. NOTHING! Not really good enough. Bought the router because it got rave reviews but this app not living up to that standard.
Check your TP-link device "compatibility" with this SW first (good luck with that process). Im using their 4220 or AV500 and the SW does not pick up the signal.
Easy to use
LED option is not working. Need to be add more options: 1.Router schedule On/Off 2.Night mood On/off 3.After long time Not connected any device with Router then router will automatically switch off for saving energy.. 4. My router WRD-4300 its have storage sharing options but this option only works with WLN. Please add option that we can USB storage by this app. Important: Include Data speed meter with total data use meter (WLN & Wifi) Thank you
It worked great the first few weeks. Now the app says it does not support your router. I have a C9. One of the reasons I bought the router was the app control function.
Easy way to block my kids from abusing wifi. 5 stars when they improve the useless parental controls.
It did 5 minutes ago. Thanks. For nothing.
One of the best administrative apps for routers I have ever used. Im IT Manager and used this kind of apps for years! Keep the great work!
I have used the app before when I first set up the router. Now I just get an error message saying it doesnt support? UPDATED: works today. Not sure why its inconsistent but I enjoy when Tether decides when to support the router.
Message says router is not supported by Tether...worked before.
Continuously getting this error message after the most recent update. Please fix
Works well with my C7 1750ac router. Actually blocks devices unlike other router iPhone apps Ive used before.
Its a nice app but is lacking CR700 support.
Im not the average bear if you know what Im saying. The app is so simple and theres hardly any information or options to configure the router. Id like to see an advanced mode or something.
Works for my C8. True that it doesnt provide full admin controls, but should it? I can admin the wifi networks (including guest), which is about what I need. In order to share my external HD attached to the router (which gets lost if it is removed and reconnected) I have to re-share and remap the drive. No biggie.
It sounds like this app works ok when admin-ing a router. I dont have the router just a range extender. For that It is useless.
The app connects to associated TP-Link devices allowing for easy setup, but thats where its usefulness ends. Selecting "Wireless" when in the app allows one to turn on or off the selection of either 2.4G band or 5G band. When opting to turn off the 2.4G band under host, several things happen: 1) The 2.4G band does turn off but it also effectively now hides all four bands (2 host and 2 guest) the router is broadcasting. Gone. The light on the router for 5G flickers as it should but the two wifi names associated with it cant be found anywhere on the network. (nice, huh? Because..) 2) the app relies upon the wifi names to connect to the router and theyve now become "hidden" from the app 3) Without the app working you have to reset the router to default settings so that you can mate up the app to the router once again and reconfigure your 4 channels as new 4) Since the use of this app Ive now found that my 2.4G signal is now degraded to practically zero on download and complete zero on upload using the Ookla app for speed check. The 5G signal is consistently strong but the software interface of the app controlling my router has essentially rendered the 2.4G unreliable and useless. Not good when many devices in the household dont carry the 5G credentials for the signal band. Definitely a software-driven glitch. ------ Tech support for the app was notified prior to the posting of this review in hoping for a solution. They requested a lot of my time and effort to run the test again (same results) and forward technical screenshots from my pc to troubleshoot the issue but I have not heard anything back. Its disheartening to know that they appear to have a bug in the software that allows the app to control so much of the router itself. Its disheartening because Ive got a router thats now been software corrupted and a company not taking this matter seriously. Look, if the software is that unstable wheres the confidence in the security of the system (?) I will update if a solution is found
